Moeller Marine Products has spent decades developing OEM fuel tanks for the fuel systems of the largest boat manufacturers in the country. To meet the requirements of the 2011 EPA Regulations (40 CFR 1060 Control of Evaporative Emissions for New and In-use Non-Road and Stationery Equipment), Moeller engineers developed a two-layer barrier tank with cross-linked polyethylene on the outside and an inner layer of nylon. Since 2009, Moeller has sold more than 230,000 barrier tanks.
Moeller Marine Products, a worldwide leader in rotationally-molded fuel and water systems, is proud to announce its recent ISO 9001:2008 re-certification. The re-certification process consisted of a comprehensive two-day audit to make sure that Moeller processes continue to conform to the ISO model of quality management.
2015 has been a banner year for Moeller Marine, beginning with a highly-publicized event to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary at their Sparta, TN facility. The company has expanded sales and marketing efforts, re-designed and improved their line of portable tanks, and introduced new diurnal components.
Moeller developed the two layer tank to meet the permeation requirements, and several companies developed valving, carbon canisters, and related hardware to meet the diurnal requirements with fugitive emissions. For the builder, this created complexity and cost (approximately $500 per vessel).
Whether designing and testing prototype boats or building small volume production runs, speed of delivery is essential to the marketplace. Moeller Marine Products is up to the challenge with its new aluminum tank line. The Sparta, TN company can produce aluminum fuel tanks in a fraction of the time it takes to manufacture polyethylene tanks.
Moeller Marine Products, a worldwide leader in fuel and water systems, is excited to announce the appointment of Brunger Export as the new international manufacturers’ representative group for the Moeller Marine product line.
