Portable tanks, defined by the EPA as having a capacity of 12 gallons or less, are used to convey fuel directly to the engine. Moeller manufactures portable tanks from nano-particle–infused high density polyethylene to prevent the escape of hydrocarbons at the molecular level. We mold the polyethylene into thick seamless walls which are up to 30% heavier than our competition.

For TOPSIDE tanks, we designed a two-layer tank with cross-linked polyethylene on the outside and an inner layer of nylon. The two-layer barrier approach is the design foundation of our permanent tanks.
